Back in the day
"Back in the day"! Who the fuck decided we needed this shit phrase? What happened to; 'in the good old days' or 'when i was a kid'.

And while I'm at it...... We ought to ban the word 'like'. As the youth (or anybody under 30) can't actually use the word in its proper context. Cunts

Fuck of with 'back in the fucking day shit'

Any other phrases from 'recent times' that get your goat?

"Basically"

Especially when spoken by a thicko who would struggle describing anything complex

Not mine but a pet hate of my dads is when people say “ have a good one” winds him right up for some reason !

Re: Back in the day
Instead of contacting someone you 'reach out' to them. People at work say it, instead of 'give X a ring' you reach out to them. What a ridiculous phrase. One that also tickles me is people going on about 'starting with some low hanging fruit' at work, essentially doing some easy tasks first.

I always use back in the day.

You prickly old bastard :)

'oh my days'

gets on my fucking nerves. Used exclusively by cunts, most of whom talk with a poor attempt at a West Indian accent.

Re: Back in the day
So you use the phrase quite a lot, you fruit bowl wearing prick?

stewie griffin 3:48 Wed Jan 2
Re: Back in the day
it's a basket of fruit, not a bowl.

You are so painfully stupid. Die.

I hate the phrase "West Ham...nil".

I hated it, like, back in the day, too.

Re: Back in the day
My grandson uses this phrase (back in the day) usually when he is having a joke at my expense. I too thought it was a recent thing until recently when I watched an old black and white film and was surprised to hear it used.
In short they used the term back in the day, back in the day.

You actually think that saying 'in the good old days' is better than 'back in the day'

Are you 90 years old?

Why does everyone feel the need to be SUPER excited, or SUPER nervous now?

No, not really.

Re: Back in the day
We seem to have lost the use of the word 'very'.
Now it has to be 'very very'

"Can I get..." as in "Can I get a skinny latte, yah?"

What IS the matter with these fuckers..? It's please may I have, not can I get yah, you dildos.

I'm not a fan of the phrase 'reach out' either but recently took on a sales job where I have a lot of US clients - so to my shame, have begun to use the phrase.

I wouldn't have used it back in the day, though.

‘I’m good’ instead of ‘I am well’ 🤔🙄🤦🏼‍♂️

Re: Back in the day
I get annoyed by simpletons who misuse the word 'actually'. As an example:

"We ought to ban the word 'like'. As the youth (or anybody under 30) can't actually use the word in its proper context"

What a fucking thicko.
